MIRAMICHI RIVER SALMON-- the numbers are up and fisherman are flocking to the pools of Miramichi to hook their prey. "We're about two weeks slow but now that we've started, the numbers are very good," says Mark Hambrook, president of the Miramichi Salmon Association, which operates the Miramichi Salmon Conservation Centre. According to a report from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans that Hambrook read on July 15, the numbers are promising.
